Little Lois Learns to Read

Follow little Lois through this rhyming story about how learning to read not only opened her mind, but completely expanded her world. Little Lois learns about the things around her as well as very valuable lessons for life that she can pass on to her family as she gets older. Most importantly little Lois learns that she can learn anything she wants just by reading a book. This book not only tries to reinforce the importance of reading but also how important it is to keep an open mind and never stop learning. I also included some of the most important life lessons I was taught as a little girl... you see, little Lois was my Grandmother. Lois Werch was an incredibly strong and intelligent woman that taught her family that our minds were our most valuable asset and to never stop expanding them. She also taught us that being kind, open minded and always being yourself were top priority when dealing with the world around us. Now that I have two Step Daughters and a Daughter of my own, my Grandmother's lessons come into our lives almost daily. I wrote this book for my Daughters so they could better know the Great Grandmother that they unfortunately were never able to meet but also wanted to share it so that her energy, excitement about learning and kind heart could inspire more than just our family.
