While recovering from a failed marriage, Shannon Duncan wins the lottery. Buying a new car and wardrobe, she travels to what was supposed to be her and her husband Ken's retirement property. Her plans take an unexpected turn after she hire a local Zuni contractor, Sam Sweetwater, to finish work for the cabin. As Sam and Shannon grow closer, trouble surfaces: Sam's mother is not happy about him having dealings with a foreign woman, as she has planned for him to run for governor. Amid vandalism, lawsuits, Christmas celebrations and cultural differences, can the two find common ground and happiness together?
