"Me & My Mama's Tattoo" is the tale of seven stories that changed her interpretation of classroom management and teaching techniques. Ms. Shipley changed her tactics from punitive to restorative and created a safe classroom environment where students became comfortable in learning about the unknown. These stories were written to encourage teachers to build relationships with students so they can learn and achieve to the best of their abilities. Now is the time to learn to teach each student, regardless of race, class, creed, color or religion.
