Lady Gregory wrote her first play when she was forty nine years old. Apart from her collaborations with W. B. Yeats and others, and translated adaptations, she produced thirty nine plays. This collection of thirteen plays, and her writings about them, is intended to show the breadth of her playwriting abilities.
