John Newman's memoir about his entertaining life with theatrical star Tikki Taylor, and the establishment of the first theatre restaurant in Australia. Their careers paralleled the development of Australian theatre and the golden age of musical theatre with J. C. Williamson. They went on to form a dynasty which continues to provide entertainment to this day, starting with old-fashioned music-hall style entertainment and developing into sophisticated cutting-edge theatre restaurant entertainment in Australia and overseas.
