It happened the year before the Lenin statues came down. Nuri Baranov, the star of Russias famed Bolshoi ballet, has defected. Living in luxury with the beautiful American actress Tina Conner, Nuri is a hunted man, only steps ahead of an assassin and a grisly chain of murders. When Tina vanishes, Nuri follows her trail to Paris, Stockholm, then Moscow. There he must give his greatest performancenot on stage, but in the deadly Soviet underground where one wrong move means sudden death.
