Little Women 1970

BBC adaptation of the classic novel by Louisa May Alcott. In New England during the American Civil War, the womenfolk struggle to enjoy life while their men are away fighting. The March family consists of aspiring author Jo (Angela Down), the wilful Amy (Janina Faye), Meg (Jo Rowbottom), who loves all the fine things in life, and Beth (Sarah Craze), who seeks solace in her music.

Despite the usual sibling rivalry they provide comfort for each other through the difficult times without their father.
