Blake has not seen his controlling and opinionated father for a while, but now Senator Niccoló Blake decided to visit South Africa and it will be impossible for Blake to avoid him. An assassination attack on Nic Blake forces Blake to set aside his own emotions and examine his father's life in order to find a motive for the attack. Of one thing Blake is certain, if anyone is going to kill his father, it is going to be him. Brigadier Patrick McIntosh is tasked with finding the perpetrators of the assassination, while keeping Blake out of his investigation, as far as possible. With the FBI suspecting McIntosh's friends and colleagues, and his boss demanding results, McIntosh faces an uphill battle to find a motive for the attack. He has only one suspect, and all his instincts tell him it is the wrong one. With the body count mounting, Blake races to find answers. Too late, he realises he has placed his daughter in danger, as the men out to kill his father will not let anything stand in their way.
