Evangeline Johansson is a 14 year old girl struggling to find her place in the world. Number nine in the line of ten children, she often felt like a nuisance to her siblings and over protected by her parents. As Ange( affectionately nicknamed by her father) searched for a sense of self in a society filled with mixed messages about beauty and success, she discovers through a series of misadventures the blessing of family, the need for self-determination, and the true meaning of darkness.
