Providence follows immediately after the events of Chickadee and concludes the Runaway Series in fine style.
The murder of Doctor Munroe is soon discovered and Sheriff Morgan begins his investigation. Anticipating his arrival at the homestead, Lizbet attempts to create the semblance of normality, though Clara is still greatly affected by what has occurred.
Meanwhile, Joshua heads north to seek out Benedict Farm in the hope of discovering Nettie's whereabouts and settling his past. Samuel has taken Lily to the Austins' farm for her own safety, but her stay promises to be less than hospitable.
Buster Cuddy, friend to the doctor and one of the central figures in the town, is determined that the perpetrators of Munroe's murder will pay with their own lives. Together with his sons, he is prepared to flout the law, believing he has every right to take matters into his own hands.
Will the doom that Munroe predicted would befall those living at the homestead come to pass? Read Providence and discover Joshua, Clara and Lizbet's fate as the closing events of their story unfold in the stunning finale to the Runaway Series.
