Dr. Chase Madden is kidnapped, drugged and thrown into the wilderness for the bears to munch on. As she manages to elude bear and bullets, she tries to determine who wants her dead, this time. Her nemesis is like a Russian doll, each bad guy identified merely leads to another enemy. Can she discover her main enemy while she and Mina try to find a cure for a new flu virus? Could the originator of the virus and her enemy be one and the same? Who would intentionally spread an incurable virus which targets a specific group of people? Will Dr. Madden discover who and why before it is too late?
