The Adventures of Leni the Sea Otter

Leni the sea otter is enjoying a beautiful day at his favorite fishing spot on Sea Shell Island when he meets Wings, a grumpy caterpillar. She is sad because she hasn't yet turned into a butterfly, and she longs to be beautiful. Leni wants to help his new friend be happy and tries several ways to encourage her. In the end, Wings learns that true beauty comes from kindness and love. Through this picture book for children, author D. Y. Horan hopes to teach young children the power of tolerance, empathy, compassion, and the beauty that lies within our distinct differences. Leni and his friends are the voices that work hard to remind children nothing is more important than the power of love.
