His other translations include work by Dogen, Bankei, Hakuin, D. T. Suzuki, and many others. Contributor Bio: Abe, Masao Abe is Emeritus Professor of Nara University of Education, Nara, Japan. A graduate of Kyoto University in Japan, he studied and practised Buddhism, especially Zen.
