The truth that inspired the myth? Power has always had a way of attracting attention. Those who want it constantly seeking out those who have it, never caring who or what it costs in the process. When Gerald first heard of the ancient magick to the North and saw with his own eyes the feats it could achieve, how could he not sacrifice whatever was necessary to obtain it? With an army at his back and the words of a mysterious stranger at his ear, the elves are on the verge of complete annihilation. Their best chance at survival may rest on the shoulders of an elf named Kringle, and Kris, an abandoned boy who fate left in her care.
