One of the flagship acts of the 1950s folk boom, the Tarriers were a breeding ground for future stars in assorted fields of entertainment. At various times the group's membership included Academy Award-winning actor Alan Arkin, Erik Darling who went on to co-found the Rooftop Singers of 'Walk Right In' fame, virtuoso musician Eric 'Duelling Banjos' Weissberg and Marshall Brickman, co-author of the scripts for many of Woody Allen's finest films - to name just a few graduates from their musical academy!The Tarriers were active from 1957 to 1964, during which time they continually challenged the Kingston Trio as America's most loved folk favourites.
