Lucifer's Game

Spies, military secrets, and a personal crusade for freedom...

Rome, 1942.

Cordelia Olivieri is a young, determined hotel owner desperate to escape Mussolini's racial persecution. But as Fascist leaders gather in Rome, Cordelia is suddenly surrounded by the world's most ruthless and powerful commanders.

In an effort to keep her Jewish heritage a secret and secure safe passage out of Italy, Cordelia forms a dangerous alliance with the British army who want to push the Axis out of North Africa once and for all.

Going undercover, Cordelia begins obtaining and leaking military intelligence to a British agent, hoping the intel will secure her freedom. But the more Cordelia uncovers, the greater the risks - especially for one handsome German Afrika Korps officer.

How far must Cordelia go to protect her identity and secure passage out of Rome?

Lucifer's Game is an utterly gripping World War II spy thriller from an exciting new voice in historical fiction. Praise for Lucifer's Game:

'A brilliantly plotted dangerous 'game' of wits played by British intelligence against Hitler's Gestapo and the Wehrmacht in 1942 Rome, a game in which love has to take a heart-rending second place. A masterly grasp of historical detail and atmosphere that plunges the reader right into the heart of WWll intelligence, its dangers, its threats and its triumphs.' - Amy Myers, author of the Marsh and Daughter series

'Lucifer's Game is a page-turning spy thriller, set in Mussolini's Italy in 1942, when the outcome of Second World War the still hangs in the balance. In a narrative sweep that evokes a nation in the grip of the corrupting rot of Fascism, and a whole world teetering on the edge of a new dark age, author Cristina Loggia follows the lives of a few good men, and one brave woman, as they put their lives on the line for honour and the future of the Allied cause.' - David Black, bestselling author of the Harry Gilmour series
